USDA Farm Service Agency logo, U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The Farm Services Agency plays a very important role when dealing with the NRCS.  In order to be eligible for many of the services under the NRCS such as EQIP, a rancher or farmer must register as a client.  This through what is known as the AD-2047 - Customer Data Worksheet, CCC-901 - Member Information, CCC-902E - Farm Operating Plan For An Entity or CCC-902I - for an Individual and AD-1026  - Highly Erodible Land Conservation and Wetland Conservation Certification.

Once registered with the FSA, then the client can apply for funding with the NRCS through what is known as the Conservation Program Application process using the CPA-1200 form and 5 Steps to Assistance.
